There comes a time in a guy''''s life when he might start thinking he has too many knives. But when you show him one of these, well, maybe he starts thinking that there''''s room for one more. After all, the AR 3.0 and 3.5 represent hybrid knife design at its best.

You''''re looking at the near-perfect combination of strength, balance, ergonomics, minimal weight, and a stylized look that can rightly be described as bad to the bone.

Sure, the AR models are easily opened with one hand. Sure, their mechanics are silky smooth. Sure, the pocketclip is the essence of convenience. And sure, they''''re built from a caliber of stainless steel that simply commands respect. But what you might not expect is the innovative blend of die-cast aluminum and Softgrip® inserts in the handle. To a lot of guys, this is a must-have knife.

I have had this knife for 2 years and it works great. This knife is extremely sharp right out of the packaging. Keeps an edge well. THe only problem that I have had is that I cought the clip on a chair when I was getting out and it bent quite a bit, to the point where it no longer stays on my pocket. However replacements and fixes for this issue are very easy and cheap. I will more than likely continue to carry this knife around until I have the funds to buy a better one.

I've had this knife for almost 3 years now and it has always kept a sharp edge. After some abuse the black finish scratches off but it took a year and a half before that started to happen. I've put mine through everything i could throw at it to include skinning deer, squirells, and any other game i came accross to sheet rock, tires and flooring. I keep this knife on my side everyday for its reliability. Definetely worth every cent.

Gotta love this knife

This is a great knife that is among the best of Gerber's folding blades. It is sharp right out of the package (and i accidentally cut my thumb while testing the speed of the open/closing), and is a good sized knife. The only flaw is a small one, and that being that the thumb studs are a little on the small side. But i love the feel and look of the knife, the inserts give it a feel i haven't felt in any other knife. And by the way, i got the last one in their stock after it was discontinued. All in all, I'd give it a healthy five out of five.
