Remember the very first time you saw an image of the Stealth Bomber? With it''s aggressive lines and matte black paint job? Well the Guardian Back-Up probably belongs on board that bird. Because the overall look and attitude is much the same.

This is a professional fixed blade knife that takes a mighty serious cut at self defense. It features blackened—and therefore non-reflective—stainless steel in a 3/4" tang blade. It''s lightweight. It''s compact. It''s effortless to carry, and agile to use. Importantly, the Santoprene®-covered nylon handle is very much at home in the hand of those who take on life''s nastier tasks.

Don''t overlook the patented sheath. It lets you adjust the withdraw tension to suit your individual style. Clip it to your boot or belt or your strap, and you''ll never be without a reliable back-up.

I have 4 randalls, including 2#14's...one saw and one not. I also have the Smithsonian Bowie and the discontinued Arkansas Toothpick(from my riverboat gambling days)he he , and I paid dearly for these knives. Yet the Gerber Shadow is in a class all it's own. Small, compact, and lethal with terrifying efficiency. Handguards are adequate and with adjustable release this knife is a B.M.W., amongst it's peers, in what I call a throwaway, indistructable dagger. Although I am on my third Guardian... I hate to lose these knives. They are so well made, durable, and stealthy... now that they come in powder coated black. I give my highest reccomendation. As for the record, I have never lost one of these knives...I know where they all are. Buy one while the price is right and you won't regret it. Shadowdart

Nice knife, sheath terrible.

This is a well made knife. It has a nice edge with a very compact design. The sheath is bulky and does not do the knife justice.

A nice knife.

This knife is small, almost exactly the same size as a Kershaw Leek. It takes a beautiful edge and is very secure in the hand regardless of its size. But it doesn't hold that edge very well. The sheath is a little bulky but its highly concealable because of its adaptability to each method of carry. I can keep it in my boot, or on my belt or on my pack and it makes no difference to the security of the knife.

Excellent knife!
